Closet KittyWhen mother and son were brought to Anasazi in 1990, mom cat was so beautiful that we immediately named her Princess Grace. It followed of course, that her son was called Prince Albert. Albert was a sickly fearful kitten and never was confident or affectionate enough to be adopted. He took up residency in the towel closet where we placed his food, water and bed for over twelve years. Albert let himself out of the cupboard only at night to use the litter box.
Late night emergencies might find him skittering back to the cupboard in a flash.
It was quite traumatic for all when Albert had to have his annual physical! That is until 2002. We don't know why, but Albert came "out of the closet." He still goes in to eat, drink and sleep, but during the day we have trouble getting him to leave us alone. He rubs his head on us, he purrs, he acts like a normal loving Anasazi cat. His favorite spot now is snuggled against the computer monitor on the treatment counter watching all the activity. Cat Psychics can you tell us why????
