The Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice, established in 1971, provides an avenue for veterinary professionals to demonstrate their commitment to veterinary science and the pursuit of excellence. Academy members are held in high esteem. Membership symbolizes that veterinary professionals have not only fulfilled their state licensing requirements of 10 hours of continuing education (CE) every year, but have completed an additional series of learning experiences of approximately 50 hours of continuing education annually. This then, provides a most comprehensive grasp of contemporary issues and expands their knowledge of the latest scientific studies and advances in diagnostic and treatment technology. Always setting a high standard for herself and her staff, Dr. Nossaman attends over 100 hours of continuing education annually.
According to the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board and the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, as of January 2006, there are currently 1,719 licensed veterinarians in the state of Arizona and only 46 are a member of the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice!
Less than 2.7% of veterinarians in the state have chosen to excel to the highest level of excellence . . . aren't you glad that you have chosen Anasazi Animal Clinic, Inc. as your healthcare partner for your special friend!
Interesting data for the state of Arizona as of January 2006:
- 1,719 licensed veterinarians
- 680 veterinary hospitals/clinics, emergency clinics and specialty practices
- 960 members of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association
Besides her numerous cats, dogs and horses, Dr. Nossaman enjoys distance running, having completed several marathons, dressage and gardening at their home near the San Tan Mountains. She has two grown children, Colin and Erin, (who grew up at the clinic), and is also the proud Grandmother of Carson, Dayton, Fallon, Tia and most recently Hazel!
Loving animals and a degree in biology has led Dr. Nosssaman to a very fulfilling career in veterinary medicine. "Animals give us so much and ask only for love. I thoroughly enjoy helping others keep their pets healthy."
