Lisa Elliott, CVT
Head Veterinary NurseLisa is a certified veterinary technician who has worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years. Her experience includes working with small companion animals, horses, and even with our exotic species at The Phoenix Zoo. She is currently studying to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM).
Lisa enjoys the outdoors. Her hobbies include hiking, fishing, and hunting and especially likes riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle across the states. She has lived in Gilbert since 1998, but grew up in Scottsdale where she attended Hohokam Elementary and Coronado High School.
Lisa shares her home with a pot-bellied pig (Oscar Meyer), a Quarter horse gelding (Orion), a miniature Australian shepherd (Rusty), and two cats (Sissy and Holly) who all love having room to roam.

EnJolie Sawicki
Assistant Head Veterinary NurseEnJolie was born in Southern California, but grew up in Southwest Florida. She started working in the veterinary field while attending college to pursue a degree in Medical Administration. While in Florida EnJolie started a family with her husband, who was also her high school sweetheart. She and her husband moved to Arizona in 2006, where she worked for a veterinary surgical specialty practice.
EnJolie joined the Anasazi Team to get back to the personal relationship with clients and patients that she felt was missing in specialty practice. We are very excited to have her with us as she continues to work toward her veterinary technician certification (CVT).
In addition to her human family, EnJolie has a menagerie at home that includes 2 Rottweilers, 1 Short Haired Tabby cat, a firebelly frog, a leopard gecko and a gopher snake.

Polaris Nevares, CVT
Veterinary Nurse and Dental TechnicianPolaris began working at Anasazi in 1997. Spending most of her free time as a High School student at the clinic allowed her to form a relationship with Anasazi's clients and extended family. In 2000 Polaris accepted an internship in San Diego, California with the Veterinary Specialty Hospital. For 2 years she worked alongside Specialists and Emergency Clinicians and developed a passion for emergency medicine, and caring for critically ill patients. Upon her return to Arizona in 2002, she continued working at the Emergency Animal Clinic in Scottsdale and Mesa until her full time return to Anasazi.
In the summer of 2004, Polaris passed the State and National Veterinary Technician Exams and is now a Certified Veterinary Technician licensed in the state of Arizona.
Polaris has developed a very strong passion for Dentistry since returning to Anasazi and works side by side with Dr. Nossaman, Dr. Halterman and Dr. Diltz in providing the best dental care for your special companion.
In 2006, Polaris began the arduous 2 to 3 year journey to become a Certified Veterinary Dental Technician.

Jenni Kulak
Veterinary NurseJenni comes to us from Chicago, where she lived until 2003. She graduated from PIMA Medical Institute, where she received her initial training to become a veterinary assistant. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2004 and joined our team to continue her training towards veterinary technician certification (CVT).
Jenni brings with her a great deal of energy and compassion toward our patients and a wonderful sense of humor.

Melissa Burns
Veterinary Nurse AssistantMelissa was born in Mesa, Arizona and graduated high school in Gilbert. She has always enjoyed working with animals in various capacities. Her love of animals led her to raise guide dogs for the blind, as well as, volunteer her time at local veterinary clinics.
Melissa worked at a veterinary specialty practice here in Arizona before moving to Oklahoma, where she received more experience working at a general veterinary practice. She has come back to Arizona and joined the Anasazi Animal Clinic team as a veterinary assistant. Melissa will be attending classes this fall as a sophomore college student and is working toward her R.N. degree, as well as, certification as a veterinary technician (CVT).

Lisa Hart
Veterinary Nurse AssistantLisa was born in Denver, Colorado, but moved to Arizona in 1993 with her family. Ever since she was a little girl, Lisa has wanted to be a veterinarian. She graduated from Mesquite High School in 2002 and is now a full-time student at Chandler-Gilbert Community College as she furthers her education in pursuit of attending veterinary school. She has been actively working with animals in a clinical setting since 2002 and now works with Anasazi Animal Clinic as a veterinary assistant.
Lisa has had the opportunity to share her life with several pets including a teddy bear hamster named Katie, a dog named Blaze, and now a very special cat named Harley Marley, who rules the house. She also gets to enjoy spending time with her family and her three young nephews as they love getting together and swimming in the pool! Lisa also enjoys spending her time outdoors, going to movies, eating Italian food as well as doing arts and crafts with scrapbooking and needle craft work.
