Gloriana Halterman, DVM
Dr. Gloriana Halterman has cared for pets as an associate veterinarian at Anasazi Animal Clinic since 2005.
She grew up in Thornton, Colorado and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. She graduated with distinction and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry in 1998. Dr. Halterman continued her veterinary education at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. A member of Phi Zeta, the national veterinary honor society, Dr. Halterman also received the Clinical Sciences Small Animal Award for the Outstanding Anesthesia Student. She completed an internship at the Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona from 2004 to 2005. Dr. Halterman is certified in bond-centered practice training. She has a special interest in internal medicine and anesthesia.
Dr. Halterman is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Dental Society, the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice, a Veterinary Partner of the Phoenix Zoo and the American Animal Hospital Association. She is active in the local community and often visits local elementary schools to talk about veterinary medicine and responsible pet ownership. She has led courses and seminars locally on first aid and senior pets.
Volleyball, tennis, and reading are among Dr. Halterman's many hobbies. She also enjoys going out for hikes with her dogs, Sophie and Moto. Her animal companions also include three cats, Oswald and Gustavo.
